Currently, I play at La Fiesta Tech, and I absolutely adore Stella Terrano. And after her little makeover I'm ready to admire her endlessly! So, here are five of my headcanons about this cutie patootie.

so, i'm raka. i've lurked around the internet for a little while now--since I was about five. restricted internet access? don't know her. i only started really participating in online communities when i was about 10, on quotev and amino (rip, it was a shitshow but i had a good time for the most part). at some point i just kinda...fell off of trying to find internet spaces? it didn't really feel fun anymore, y'know? i went back to lurking, looking at stuff i enjoyed/making things in silence.
well, fuck that. if i wanna have fun, i'm gonna make it fun. i love drawing, i always have!! i've been drawing since i was about five or six. it's always been an escape for me during REALLY rough times--it made me happy to draw my favorite characters, and even create my own! i love interacting with fandom spaces too, finding folks who are into the same stuff i am. connecting with strangers is fun, when you don't really know anybody irl who shares your exact interests!

BPD TRAIT:
Hello my name is Sara and I make Sim Traits and Aspirations. I wanted to make this trait for a long time now to bring awareness to a mental illness that is misunderstood as much as it’s bashed and romanticized. This trait was made with the utmost care and respect. I did tons of research and I always have first hand experience seeing someone struggle with this on a day to day basis. My partner has BPD and has helped me along the way to make sure I convey BPD in a neutral light however I will like to preface my trait is not here to diagnose anyone and this trait goes into some rather heavy topics I will be linking some resources if you ever feel like you are alone in the fight against your mind you are not!! I don’t know exactly what goes on fully inside of a person's mind with BPD but with the research and accounts from my partner and others first hand experience with BPD,And through doing this trait. I feel like I got a better understanding of what people go through with this mental illness. I hope you guys enjoy this trait.

The Rare Trait Exclusive included with The BPD Trait is that when your Sis is Feeling the following emotions I bumped it up to either 1.5 or 1.1
1.1: Stressed, Uncomfortable, Happy and Angry.
1.5: Sad and Dazed.
People with BPD tend to feel certain emotions a little bit more intensely than “normally” and their emotions can be unpredictable. That's why I heighten the emotional buffs.
So for ages many people don’t get a diagnosis till they are well into their teen years so I wanted to make sure I convey that part accurately.

📁How to Download📂
Open your file folder folder go to the file named Electronic arts it should be in your documents section of your files. Click it!
Click on the next folder named The Sims 4 after that find your mods folder, that is the folder where you’ll be placing the BPD Trait in.
Grab the BPD trait and drag it into your Mods folder make sure the path of your directory is going as follows ( Your User for you computer > Documents> EA> The Sims 4>Mods). You want to ALWAYS check that before downloading any mod or extracting a Zip file mod into your folder that was a tip btw!
Tip: Make sure to have Game options set to allow CC and Script mods.
Always Delete that thumbcache in the same place of your documents folder containing your sims folder!!

BREAKING NEWS! Grant Rodiek Game Director on Project Rene leaves Maxis and EA
In January of 2023, Grant was introduced as a Game Director on Project Rene during a Behind The Sims episode. He was interviewed by Mersea about the state of Project Rene, where Grant talked extensively about his experiences with early playtests and developing the next generation Sims game hand-in-hand with players.
More specifically, he discussed a recent playtest where they had a small group of players explore what he called “apartment customisation,” otherwise known as Build/Buy to current Sims 4 players. He talked about Create-A-Style tools returning from The Sims 3. For those unfamiliar with The Sims 3, this essentially means being able to customise the colours and patterns of individual objects via a colour wheel and extensive pattern swatches rather than just a set number of standard colours like The Sims 4 has now.
He also talked about being able to do this in multiplayer with friends, upload the creations, and being able to switch between playing on PC and playing on your mobile phone.
Just last night, Grant made a post on his LinkedIn account, announcing his departure from Maxis and Electronic Arts. His reasons seem to be motivated by wanting a bigger challenge in the gaming world and wanting to better support his family.

I’ve decided to leave Maxis and EA.
There is always another milestone to hit. A feature you want to deliver to players. Co-workers you can’t imagine not working with. A recession. My kids who need to eat.
I realized there was never going to be a perfect moment to part, but I knew it was time to change, so I’m taking the jump.
There are so many cool things happening in games right now: AI, new social experiences, UGC, amazing narrative, and frankly I think there is so much we can still do with simulation.
My hope is to find a new place that challenges me, allows me to dabble in some of these exciting areas, and continue to delight in making games. After all, I still really, really, really love games.
The job search is on. If you know a team that needs a producer/game director type product nerd, I’d love to hear from you. It’s a tough market and we can all use the help.

Prison Labor in Flyover Country
In Flyover Country by Tim Maughan, the main character works at a prison factory making iPhones. The story shows how prisoners are forced to work for big companies while being treated unfairly. One emotional part of the story is when the main character helps a family communicate by switching SIM cards in phones, allowing a prisoner to see pictures of his wife and kids. This makes us think about the real life issue of prison labor and how companies benefit from it while prisoners don’t benefit at all.
What Is Prison Labor?
Prison labor is when people in prison are made to work, often for very little money. Many companies use prison workers to make products because it’s cheap. In the U.S., prisoners can be paid as little as a few cents per hour. Prisoners make things like furniture, clothing, and even electronics for big companies to benefit from while they struggle to financially survive while being locked up. As The Marshall Project states, since wages are so low, many incarcerated people can't afford basic necessities like soap, toothpaste, or even phone calls to their families. Most of their earnings go toward overpriced items in prison commissaries or paying off court fees. Some prisoners work long hours just to afford a pack of ramen noodles.
In many U.S. prisons, incarcerated individuals are compelled to work under threat of severe penalties. Those who refuse assignments may face punishments such as solitary confinement, loss of visitation rights, or denial of sentence reductions. For example, as stated in CTAS Tennessee, in Tennessee, state law permits sheriffs to impose solitary confinement or other disciplinary actions on prisoners who decline to work. This coercive system, rooted in the 13th Amendment's exception clause, has led to legal challenges and growing calls for reform.
How Flyover Country Shows Prison Labor
In the story, Barry sees how the prisoners have no control over their lives. They are forced to work in factories, making products for people on the outside. The prisoners don’t get paid fairly, and they are treated as if they aren’t real workers. This is similar to real life, where many prisoners do hard jobs but don’t get the same rights as other workers.
The Problem with Prison Labor
Some people argue that prison labor helps prisoners learn job skills. But others say it is unfair because companies make a lot of money while prisoners barely get anything. According to The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), many prisoners work in dangerous conditions and can’t say no to the job. They don’t have the same protections as workers outside of prison.
Incarcerated workers create billions of dollars in value, yet they have almost no labor rights and are paid little to nothing for their work. Many are forced into dangerous jobs that don’t prepare them for life after prison. The Economic Policy Institute claims that this is especially bad in the South, where states rely on free or underpaid prison labor to run expensive prisons and produce goods and services. This system has deep roots in slavery, continuing the legacy of convict leasing and debt peonage. Even today, some private businesses profit from prison labor while local workers lose jobs.
Flyover Country makes us think about prison labor and how unfair it can be. The story shows that prisoners are used for their labor while companies profit. It also reminds us that behind every product we buy, there might be workers prisoners or not who aren’t treated fairly and are going through the worst while being away from their loved ones. This is an important issue that more people should know about.

Electronic Arts Announces Q-3 Earnings, A Mass Layoff in its Subsidiary, BioWare, Follows After.
Electronic Arts (EA), a major leading company in the digital entertainment space, which is in charge of games like: EA Sports, Sims, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect has pre-announced its Q-3 earnings. The earnings predictions? Not what Electronic Arts expected.

In a press release on Jan 22, 2025, EA explained that they expected mid-single-digit growth in their live service net bookings, but are now expecting a "mid-single-digit-decline". Global Football had two fiscal years of double-digit net bookings growth consecutively. However, the franchise experienced a slowdown in consumers in the fiscal third quarter. The early momentum was not able to sustain the success.
Following that, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, released under their subsidiary company, BioWare, has also reported low net booking growth. The game successfully attracted 1.5 million players during the quarter. However, this number was down about 50% from the company's expectations. On February 4th, EA officially released their Q-3 earnings and reported their net bookings totaled to be $2.215 billion dollars.

Following this unexpected outcome for EA's net income bookings also came a mass layoff within its subsidiary, BioWare. BioWare was the company that produced Dragon Age: The Veilguard. According to Bloomberg's report, the studio now reports to have less than 100 employers. Bloomberg has also reported that they laid off “around two dozen” staffers and shifted other members to different projects within their parent company, EA. These shifts are reported to be permanent.
Now, the General Manager of BioWare, Gavin McKay, says that a core team will be creating the next Mass Effect game, and these shifts will allow BioWare to “become a more agile, focused studio.” IGN reports that a similar layoff of 50 jobs, occurred in 2023. Before these layoffs, Bloomberg reports that BioWare had more than 200 staffers in 2022.
Steuart Canfield, Electronic Art's chief financial officer, says at the end of the EA press release that EA will continue to balance investments for future growth within the company. He also mentions that operational discipline will provide this growth and help EA stay committed to their long-term financial framework as it launch more iconic franchises.

Week 3: Connecting Practice with Society
I have discovered that I can be a social agent too, if I am an artist or a designer. I think the context behind socially-engaged practice is where we have to be conscious of other people’s ideas. Collaboration and conversation also allows us to interact more while working with one another. Proper care and concern for ourselves and others helps in creating a better community.






Based on the collaboration project above, it engages “MINI” car brand, fans and drivers to participate in this event. In line with the pandemic, this project aims to portray the gift of togetherness by spreading cheer and hope. (Kinetic)
We decided to film at the nearby mall called “Sim Lim Square”. We wanted to showcase the different electronics and food stalls around some areas. Most of us are videographers, while the rest are either scriptors or narrators. In my opinion, I actually consider this as a local issue. Even though there is a great variety of food and electronics stores, the competitiveness rate is very high. It is due to the fact that similar stalls were being arranged around the same areas.
I would like to re-enact a film, people being too engrossed on their phones, and forgetting to move towards the front.
After watching the whole cohort film videos, I realised that we all have different perspectives and also use a range of approaches while filming the documentary. Each of the films main components is by using simple acting to convey their chosen local issues.
